Carrubbers Online
Carrubbers Online is one of the oldest established church websites in
Scotland, and one of the largest of this type in Europe. With many hundreds of
static and interactive pages, it represents a considerable investment of time
and energy in the team of volunteers that keep it running.
The team has a blog that records what we've been upto
recently, and plan to work on in the future should you be interested.
For a bit of advice on starting the process of setting up your own church
website, read the Cyber
Fishing article, a rule-of-thumb guide to getting started, written by
Colin Peckham, who founded and lead the ministry up until 2002.

William Purves Funeral Directors.
He is also married (to Isla), and tries to find a balance between married life,

Graeme Nunn

Graeme mainly looks after
the
IBS site, but still finds time to help with some of the projects that appear on
on carrubbers.org.
Cameron Rose
Updater
Formerly the Carrubbers director who provides oversight for the
ministry, Cameron still finds time to take care of the front page "latest" section that was much
neglected before he took to the task. He also maintains some of the other
quickly expiring content on the site.
In an attempt to bring you the best site possible, we use some of the
latest internet technologies. For those who might be interested, these
include PHP, XML, XPath, XSL Dbase and Postgres.
At the moment, we are striving to produce content which is current and
applicable to those who visit carrubbers.org. We also have some exciting
projects hidden up our sleeves - you'll find out what they are soon(ish)!
The History:
Carrubbers Online was started around 1994, by Colin Peckham, who took
the original vision to the leadership and with their blessing, built and
maintained the site. In September 2002, Nigel Swinson took up the mantle of
webmaster and with the team that has been built up over the years continues to
bring the message of hope and light to people who surf on down to
carrubbers.org.
