Foundations
Foundations is the new series which replaces the
School of Christian Discipleship course (SCD).
Jesus said that anyone who hears His words, "and acts upon them, may be
compared to a wise man who built his house upon a rock. And the rain
descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against the
house; and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon a rock." [Matthew
7.24-25]
Today is an age of compromise, the age of the 'quick fix' and instant
gratification. The times of building and imparting strong foundational
life principles seem long past. But Jesus' eternal words demonstrate the
urgent necessity of building our lives upon the foundational truths
contained in His word.
The Purpose

to lay solid foundations for faith and life through a chronological,
panoramic study of the basic and core principles of the Word of
God.

to strengthen Christians in the essential basics of biblical
discipleship and witness by encouraging and equipping "each one to
reach one - and each one to teach one" - 2 Timothy 2:2
Dates for 2006-7
Classes meet one Saturday each month between 10am and 1pm on the following dates:

- 2nd December 2006
- 20th January 2007
- 3rd February 2007
- 24th February 2007
- 17th March 2007
- 21st April 2007
- 5th May 2007
