Carrubbers has always been about people, not property. Historically, Carrubbers was founded as an outreach to the children of the city, and continues a programme of outreach to this day. Evangelical, evangelistic, bible-teaching, we seek to train, reach and win people to our Lord Jesus.
Carrubbers is a thriving church in the centre of Edinburgh, half-way down the Royal Mile. We meet every Sunday for fellowship where we worship our risen Saviour Jesus.
Our vision is to see the congregation at Carrubbers loving God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength (fulfilling the great commandment) and pouring their lives into the lives of their families, friends and neighbours (fulfilling the great commission).
As seen in the new testament church, Carrubbers is led by a group of elders and we have a number of full-time and part-time staff who act as pastoral leadership for our congregation.
Carrubbers Christian Centre is an independant evangelical church, originally founded as a mission. It is also a charity and holds an annual general meeting in June each year.
Edinburgh is a marvelous city and offers much for visitors: history; beauty; festivals of art, comedy, science, music; and with the borders, lowlands and highlands on the doorstop, trips further afield are easily organised.
