Home group - Prayer.

How does a clay pot ( 2 Cor4:7) faithfully carry the treasure of the gospel ( the message of the mission of the Man)?

1. Trust God. 10:1-24.
2. Love God. 10:25-28.
3. Imitate God. 10:29-37
4. Learn from God. 10:38-42
5. Depend on God. 11:1-13
- Teach us to pray!
- Be Astonished that God was praying to God!
- We are weak and needy!
- We need to pray - expressing total dependence!

Take time to catch up and to pray for one another...The notes below may be a helpful start...

1. Pray for one another. We are clay pots (2Cor4:7). Pray that as clay pots we would grow to be more trusting and more loving. That we would desire to imitate God more, that we would long to learn more from God.

2. Pray for one another, that prayer and dependence would be our food for growth.

3. Pray....take each phrase and turn it into adoration and praise or into confession or into thanksgiving or into a request.

Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation. Lk11:2-4

4. Pray for all those who have heard the gospel over the last few weeks at Buckstone and other holiday clubs, at the puppet shows and at @65.

5. Pray for all those this week who will share Christ at the events - at lunch time and in the evening at Carrubbers.

6. This weekend 28 of our young people will be away at Lendrick Muir.

Please keep in your prayers Drummond and Felicity Fyall who are organising the logistics of the weekend.

Pray for the youth ministry team who will be expending lots of energy in activities and in building discipleship relationships.

Pray for a receptive hearing of God's Word in the hearts and minds of the young people as David Nixon teaches.

7. This Saturday is the Sunday School family Outing...Pray for this church family opportunity.
