A Message of Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:16-21

  1. Feed back and comment on any issues raised for you during the study on Sunday morning.
    (This should help inform any who were not present for the service!)
  2. Describe some of the ways that you feel your perspective has changed on things since you have been “reconciled to God through Christ.”
    Also, describe some of the ways that you have seen your person change since becoming a Christian.
    (i.e. what “old” things have passed, and what “new” things have come?)
  3. Paul says in verses 18-20 that we should all be involved in the ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors for Christ, imploring others to be reconciled to God.
    1. How do you think we can best “implore” people today to be reconciled to God?
    2. What methods of “imploring” do you find most effective in your sphere of life?
  4. If you have time, read through Isaiah 53 again.
    1. How does your understanding of Christ’s substitution for your sin affect the way you live?
    2. How can we as Christians become more aware of, and affected by, the gracious work of God through Christ on our behalf.
      (i.e. how can I come to know and appreciate the work of the cross more and how will this affect the way I live?)
